COW MANURE

Cow Manure is a commonly used product by landscapers and home gardeners to help improve soil condition and promote long-term fertility.

We source a “feed lot” grain fed, beef cattle manure which is the best quality, highest in nutrient manure available today. The “feed lot” means that the cows have not been fed on paddock grasses, which reduces the chances of weeds being imported into your garden.

Cow manure is a great fertiliser and soil conditioner to provide a nutrient boost, with a Ph of 6.0 normally.

  • – improve soil structure
  • – increase water retention
  • – and add organic matter

When feeding a new garden we normally would apply a 50 to 75mm layer of manure & hoe it into the top 200mm of existing soil.

Calculating an accurate amount of product required for your project is very important. There is nothing worse than receiving a delivery to find you’re short on product.

Compact surfaces

As a general rule, 20% extra needs to be ordered to factor in the compaction of the product. Please call us if you have questions on this.

Of course sometimes your job area may not be square or rectangular, it may be winding and change widths at various times which can make correct measurement difficult.
